Taekwon-Do Juniors Program
Juniors (9 - 12)
The Taekwon-Do Juniors Program at Edwards Martial Arts Academy is designed as a stepping stone for our Students who are in between the Kids Program and our Adult Program.
This program is developed to take advantage of the longer attention span and physical capabilities of kids in this age group while still keeping it fun with age appropriate games and role playing activities to develop social, behavioral and moral development skills.
Lessons for Juniors are 45 minutes in length and are on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15 to 8:00 pm.
Our teaching program is designed to further the cognitive, behavioral, physical, social and moral development of our future leaders and is grounded in the Taekwon-Do system of self-defense.
Like the Kids Program, lessons consist of activities (games, discussions, role-playing, exercises) designed to provide your future leader the opportunity to develop the following:

Life Skills (leadership, obedience, teamwork, independence, organization, responsibility)

Cognitive Skills (attention, memory, concentration)

Social Skills (politeness, assertiveness)

Moral Character (Integrity, respect and caring for others, fairness, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit)

Skills for learning Taekwon-Do (balance, rhythm, coordination, body movement)
With the Juniors we also teach "Verbal Taekwon-Do" to deal with bullies and avoid physical altercations, but still teach them the necessary defense techniques should anyone try to harm them.
Our proven curriculum will give your child the confidence and positive attitude they need to be successful in life.
